The Christ the King Surprise

Started the last day of the Liturgical calender early by waking up at 3am to prepare my stuff and head of to the St. Peter Parish where my good friend, Marc Martin, and I pulled of the surprise of the day by letting our Diocese’s vocations director, Fr Joel Buenviaje (who is also a good friend), wear a roman chasuble and a maniple which is mostly never seen in the Novus Ordo. The mass was not as spectacular as the vestment, though. I was later informed that the liturgy there is still a work in progress. His homily emphasized that Christ should reign in our hearts. It is he who should take charge.

I was informed by Marc last night at around 11pm about the surprise and if I could drop by and take photos. Well, I couldn’t say no to that opportunity.

Here are some of the photos.

Happy Feast of Christ the King to all!
