Attended the 7th Christmas Toy Fair & the 2nd Philippine Die cast and Custom Car today at the Megatrade hall, SM Megamall. Brought my little cousin with me and we certainly had a wonderful time. Action figures, Legos, Busts, Comic books, bubble head dolls, awesome storm trooper USBs, legos, and many more. Name it, they have it right here.
Toy fairs or toy cons (however you wish to call them) are like the male version of a bazaar. Like every bazaar, it takes patience, a good eye, and the will to bargain on a product. Patience because sometimes you have to dig inside a small box to get a good item. And believe me, there are a lot of them. A good eye is used on comics; not everything displayed in front are the only good buys; sometimes, there are rare items in good condition in some of the boxes around the booth. Just use your eyes. And lastly, the bargain part. Like every market in Hong Kong, early morning shopping is bad since the prices are still high, but come late in the afternoon and you would get big discounts and you can even ask for more ’til you get the best deal.
With that, I wish you all the best of luck. Tomorrow will be the last day of the convention. Hope you attend.
Here are some of the photos…
Took a photo of the Hulk since I can’t wait to pick up my reserved copy of the Indestructible Hulk #2 next week. HULK SMASH!!!
My cousin Steven decided to buy the Captain America mask.
Thanks for dropping by today.
